The refrigeration industry’s most widely used and trusted model. SST condensers provide generous pump down capacities, helping eliminate the need for receiver tanks. They offer a level of durabilty that will ensure many years of reliable performance.
SST condensers are available in standard designs for water duty. The models feature high-efficiency enhanced tube surfaces, and they are available in 28 catalog models from 2 to 200 horsepower (HP). They are designed to provide generous pump down capacity for your system, eliminating the need for receiver tanks and additional piping. For glycol duty please consult ProSuite or contact the factory.
SST condensers are manufactured with internally and externally enhanced 3/4″ OD copper tubing. Heavy wall tube construction is available. The tubes can be easily serviced with commonly available tube cleaning equipment.
As standard, these units offer a horizontal, cleanable tube design. Custom vessels are available with special materials of construction as required by you or your client. Condensers can be made with stainless steel construction for use in corrosive environments.
For higher pressure refrigerants, use SST-MP units. For less pump down capacity use HSE units. For salt water applications use MST units. SST units can be used in conjunction with HR or UR receivers for even greater pump down capacity.
Custom and larger models are available, please contact your local sales representative
*Ratings are based on entering water 85°F, leaving water 95°F, and saturated condensing temperature of 105°F with 5°F of subcooling
**Pump down capacities are based upon 90% of the shell open volume. Multipliers for refrigerants other than R-22: R-134A= R-22 cap x 1.015; R-404A= R-22 cap x .89
Nominal ratings include a additive fouling factor of 0.00025 ft2-hr-°F/ BTU as calculated per AHRI Standard 450
